– Facebook, the social networking giant, is seeking to hire former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs for a senior post, The New York Times reported.
The newspaper reported on its website late on Sunday that Facebook is looking at Gibbs, once one of President Barack Obama’s closest aides, to help manage communications in advance of an initial public offering planned for early next year.

Ricoh has announced function-enhancing firmware updates for its GXR interchangeable lens cameras and the GR Digital III compact. In response to user feedback, the GXR firmware adds five processing filters, a subject tracking focus and exposure mode, and a revised magnified playback option. – China’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday said that it could not accept accusations from Google Inc that the Chinese government was making it difficult for Gmail users to access the service in the country.
“This is an unacceptable accusation,” ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told a regular news conference.
Google said any difficulty users in China may have faced in the past few weeks accessing its email service was likely to be the result of government blocks.
